Children's Shakespeare Theatre presents Love's Labor's Lost
The King of Navarre and his three best friends have sworn to spend the next three years studying together - and not seeing any women. But their promises are rapidly broken when the beautiful Princess of France and her three lovely ladies arrive - and soon the guys are running around acting like complete fools. The other residents of the King's country estate are just as silly over love - including an eccentric Spanish knight and his clever boy servant, a country bumpkin and flirtatious wench, the local schoolmistress and parson, a lax constable, and a gossipy dandy. Performed by the CST teenage company, the Rogues, this production of Love's Labors Lost, set in the stylish Baroque era of glamour and lace, is not only filled with some of Shakespeare's most beautiful rhyming language, but witty humor, practical jokes, beautiful dancing and singing, and some of the most hilarious pageantry and Russian dancing that you may have ever seen. Don't miss it!
