Small Business Lunch at Halls
The King Street Marketing Group and Halls Chophouse are pleased to present Noah Leask, the Small Business Administration's (SBA) 2013 South Carolina Small Business Person of the Year and the SBA runner up for the 2013 National Small Business Person of the Year as the guest speaker Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Small Business Lunch at Halls.
Leask is a disabled Navy veteran and Co-Founder, CEO and President of Mount Pleasant-based cyber operations firm ISHPI, one of the fastest growing companies in the country.
Under Leask's leadership, ISHPI has successfully experienced an average annual growth rate of over 243% and a five-year growth of over 1,215%. This success has led to ISHPI being recognized as a 2013, 2012, and 2011 Inc. 500|5000 Fastest Growing Company, a 2013 and 2012 Washington Technology FAST 50, a 2013 and 2012 South Carolina Biz News Roaring Twenties and more.
ISHPI has rapidly grown to a successful, global, premier provider of Information and Cyber Dominance Services, Engineering and Technical Services for the Intelligence Community, Departments of Defense and Homeland Security.
A Service Disabled Veteran, Leask had over ten years of wartime service in the U.S. Navy conducting global operations supporting National Defense where he played a critical role in providing the Nation and the U.S. Navy with Cyber, Information, Signals, and Information Technology Dominance as a deployed member of the U.S. Naval Security Group Command afloat and ashore.
Leask and his wife Lisa, a fellow Navy veteran, started ISHPI out of their home in September 2006. Today, ISHPI, with its international headquarters in Mt. Pleasant, has 140 employees and facilities in Virginia, DC, and San Antonio. Notable clients include the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, U.S. Central Command and the Joint IED Defeat Organization.
In April, the SBA named Leask the 2013 South Carolina Small Business Person of the Year. Previously, SBA had honored Leask as the 2009 Veteran Small Business Champion of the Year for both South Carolina and the southeast for his mentorship of fellow veterans pursuing entrepreneurship. Leask continues to support veteran entrepreneurs through the ISHPI Warrior Program. ISHPI's additional community outreach efforts include programs in support of the disabled, Native American youth and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
