An intimate evening with Academy Award and two-time Grammy-winning composer David Shire, featuring clips from his films, discussion of his work, and a piano performance.
David Shire has scored more than 100 theatrical and TV films, including The Conversation, Saturday Night Fever, and All the President's Men; on Broadway, he has collaborated on the scores for Big and Baby, among others. His songs have been recorded an incredible array of singers, including Barbra Streisand, Julie Andrews, Johnny Mathis and Melissa Manchester.
