An afternoon of unusually good stories and refreshments.
The Grownup Lady Story Company and special guest storytellers Terry Beegle and Ray Hill will tell true stories for grown-up men and women on Sunday afternoon, November 17. Doors open at 1:30pm and the show starts at 2:00pm. Spouses, partners, and friends welcome! Tickets are $15. Seating is limited. The Grownup Ladies are two extraordinary hostesses and accomplished performers who put on warm and entertaining (some say hilarious!) storytelling events in private homes as well as traditional (and nontraditional) theatrical venues. The Grownup Lady Story Company is Rebecca Beegle and Annie La Ganga. Rebecca Beegle is a playwright who has studied drama with American master Edward Albee. She is currently working on a collection of personal stories called Petite Hands of a Killer. Annie La Ganga is the author of the memoir Stoners and Self-Appointed Saints (Red Hen Press, 2009) and has performed dozens of one-woman shows. Our co-host and Special Guest Storyteller Terry Beegle is a retired podiatrist, former Teamster, and recent indie movie actor. Our Very Special Guest Storyteller Ray Hill -- activist, raconteur, radio star -- is a Houston legend. The Grownup Ladies are thrilled and honored to have him join us at the Beegle's.
Cookies and cider will be served. Questions? This one-of-a-kind show is a professional storytelling event hosted at a private venue (Margie and Terry Beegle's home!).
