Long Island Roller Rebels: Home Team Championship!
On Saturday, November 9th, the Long Island Roller Rebels proudly presents The Championship Bout of our Home Teams; The undefeated Rolling Thundercats vs. The Ladies of Laceration! The Ladies started 2013 undefeated with a win over The Wicked Wheelers back in February, while the Thundercats have yet to take the track. With familiar and old faces joining together on the track, this is sure to be an action packed bout!
Doors at Skate Safe, located in Old Bethpage, open at 7pm and the bout will start promptly at 8pm! Beer will be served by our AWESOME sponsor Pabst Blue Ribbon!
This is our Charity bout and a percentage of the proceeds will be split with Nathaniel Scheuer, who was born very prematurely at 24 weeks. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy in April 2010. Nate is non-verbal, and cannot sit or stand on his own. His family has found a new innovative Physical Therapy program, at Keep Moving Forward in Woodbury that has help Nate progress drastically. Unfortunately this form of therapy is expensive and is not covered by insurance. Another portion of the proceeds will go towards a female scholar athlete scholarship fund.
The Long Island Roller Rebels are also working with Long Island Cares to collect canned goods and non-perishable food items for members of the Long Island Community who were victims of Hurricane Sandy. Please bring canned food and/or non-perishable food items to the bout and receive a free raffle ticket!
