A Stan Kenton Big Band Christmas with Rich Wetzel's Expanded Groovin Higher Jazz Orchestra
The holiday classic expanded 30 piece jazz orchestra performing music from one of the greatest holiday jazz albums of all time, "A Stan Kenton Christmas" and other holiday greats by Tom Kubis.
I have added timpani, french horns, tuba, chimes, bells, extra musicians in all sections to make a huge 30 piece jazz orchestra! Friends and I have listened to that great, "Stan Kenton Christmas" album for years and I finally found all the original music. This is a great holiday show that we have done not quite every year as it is a big production, but we are doing it again this year at Tacoma Community College on Monday Dec 8 and Tuesday Dec 9.
