Kim Brandt has presented her work at venues in New York City including Danspace Project at St. Marks (Draftwork and Food for Thought), Movement Research (Judson Church and Dance Theater Workshop), P.S. 122 (Avant-Garde-A-Rama), AUNTS (American Realness at Abrons Arts Center), La Mama ETC (LaMama Moves Festival), Rehearsal (Movement Research Festival), The Chocolate Factory (Throw), Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Center for Performance Research, Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance, Dixon Place, University Settlement, HERE Arts Center, Williamsburg Arts Nexus, and at galleries including Elizabeth Dee, Josee Bienvenue, Airplane, Five Myles and The Laundromat. She has also participated in group shows at The Ice Box, VOX Populi, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, Flux Gallery, Barber Shop Gallery and Stella Elkins Tyler Gallery in Philadelphia, PA, at UWM Union Art Gallery in Milwaukee, WI, and at the Hampshire College Gallery in Amherst, MA. She has performed with choreographers Sam Kim and Emily Wexler, theater director Mitchell Polin, and with performance artist Ryan McNamara, for whom she worked as choreographer and performer in his piece "Whitney Houston Biennial" at the 2010 Whitney Biennial. She currently works as a studio assistant to sculptor Tara Donovan. Brandt graduated from Hampshire College, received a MFA from Tyler School of Art which she attended with a full assistantship, and was a 2012 Space Grant artist at Brooklyn Arts Exchange.
