JACKTalk: An Evening with Dave Malloy
JACK is kicking-off its new monthly series, JACKTalk, with an epic evening with composer Dave Malloy (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812), with the conversation led by JACK Artistic Director Alec Duffy (Malloy's collaborator on the OBIE-winning piece, Three Pianos). The evening will include a lay-down listening session of his 1999 album, Halloween.
Dave Malloy is a composer/writer/performer/sound designer/musical director/pianist/theater slash artist. He is the winner of two OBIE Awards, a Richard Rodgers Award, Glickman Award, Jonathan Larson Grant. He has written the music for seven full-length musicals, most recently Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812, an electropop opera based on Tolstoy's War and Peace. www.davemalloy.com
