ASB Fall Play 2013 at North Seattle Community College "LOOKING GLASS LAND" produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., Englewood, Colorado"
Alice, a young girl with a big imagination loves to play chess with her kitty. She ignores her mother's insistence that she get ready to go and finds herself in a strange world beyond the looking glass. Once in looking glass land, Alice meets the chess pieces who have come to life. Alice becomes a pawn herself and decides to pursue queenship. Along the way she solicits help from the talking flowers and the proper authorities. A pawn, you know, can move two squares in the first move. She slides fourth and meets Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. As she progresses from square to square she meets a grumpy Humpty Dumpty. Alice intervenes and saves the crown from the fighting Lion and Unicorn, who prefer chocolate cake more than anything. As she gets closer to queenship herself, the knights begin to battle and Alice emerges victorious. At last she becomes queen and realizes all the responsibilities that come along with it. She decides that queendom is really not all it's cracked up to be and is back with her kitty playing chess once again.
