The Pop Magic Christmas Show

The race for the Festive Number One is on! So join us for the Pop Magic Christmas Show, as Boogaloo Stu attempts to create a chart-busting Christmas classic, complete with a unique promotional pop video, in just one hour.

The highs, the lows and the knitted tinsel knickers...over the course of the show Stu reveals the modest but glittering successes and barrel-scraping lows of his own pop trajectory; and how, in his early years, the Christmas TOTP specials shaped his obsession with pop music and forged his own desire to perform.

With a spin of the Pop Wheel, Stu launches into his quest to craft a festive pop nugget. Dress in your festive finery (bauble earrings optional) and add in a dash of Phil Spector, Band Aid, Slade, Mariah Carey and East 17 into the mix and Hey Presto! Not only have you got all the ingredients for a Christmas classic, but also for a brilliant night of entertainment, too.

Audience members are invited to assist in the song-writing and recording process, culminating in a tinsel-festooned live lip-synch and dance performance to make a pop video for the song. And it's a delightful early Christmas gift when the finished song and video are uploaded to social network platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) soon after the show, for all the world to see and share.
