CCT Presents "A Walk on the Beach With Tennessee Williams And Edward Albee"
Clayton Community Theatre Presents "A Walk on the Beach With Tennessee Williams And Edward Albee"
In a St. Louis premiere, CCT presents an evening of rarely-seen one-act plays from two of the greatest American playwrights, Tennessee Williams and Edward Albee. Tennessee Williams originally drafted The Parade, or Approaching the End of a Summer in the 1940s after his first great gay love left him for a woman.
In Albees dark comedy Finding the Sun (1983) four couples arrive on a Long Island beach for privileged conservatives. Albee explores isolation along with sexual identity, mortality, communication or lack of it and the agendas people hide from themselves and others.
