Tyler Carson (formerly of Impossible Bird) is proud to present his newest CD release entitled " 'i'o ".

What is 'i'o??

'i'o [pr: eeh oh] stands for many things. Musically it represents the feeling I experience when music is flowing. 'i'o represents divine spirit in Hawaiian tradition and is symbolized by their most treasured and endangered state bird, a magnificent hawk called an Io.

When I heard the name 'Impossible Bird' for the first time, I knew what it meant. And when I heard others describe it for themselves, I knew that it wasn't just me. Where's the rest of the band? Who's the third player? What is that chemistry between you two? I can feel it! I feel like something is lifting me up. When people deeply commit to doing what they love, something else is created. Another something that makes the whole far larger than the sum of the parts. And that is what I devote myself to now. To create collaborations that allow this spontaneous something, again and again. That is what 'i'o is to me. The invitation to the music, to the audience, to myself and my compatriot musician to step into another way of relating and doing. To love what is happening that much.
