Single Family and Multifamily Updates from the Statewide CASE Team
AIAOC and Southern California Edison, A Collaborative Partnership Webinar
Description: The Codes and Standards Enhancement (CASE) Initiative provides recommendations to support the California Energy Commissions (Energy Commission) efforts to update the California Energy Code (Title 24, Part 6) to include new requirements or to upgrade existing requirements for various technologies. The Statewide CASE Team is interested in sharing our recent single family and multifamily work with CABEC and AIA members and soliciting feedback. This presentation will cover the following topics:
Proposed single family and multifamily packages and software enhancements Available resources Opportunities to engage with and provide feedback to the Statewide CASE Team and Energy Commission Outlook on the remainder of the code cycle in 2021

Presenters: Kelly Cunningham currently serves as a program manager on Pacific Gas & Electrics Codes and Standards team. Her role includes leading the development of energy codes and standards enhancement proposals across all building systems to advance Californias Energy Code. She also leads a program that supports cities pursuing Reach Codes and supports increasing compliance with the current code.
Elizabeth McCollum is a program manager at TRC and the multifamily buildings lead on behalf of the 2022 Utility Statewide Codes and Standards Team. She has 14 years of experience designing and implementing energy efficiency programs, with a focus on multifamily buildings. She has supported energy efficiency program design in multiple states, managed and supported the implementation of these programs, conducted market analysis, developed and trained trade ally networks, and lead tool and workforce development efforts.
Bill Dakin is Director of Engineering at Frontier Energy, where he oversees codes and standards, design consulting and building energy analysis services. With over 25 years of experience, Bill has a broad understanding of building science and energy efficient strategies for buildings. His experience in the energy field includes work in both the wind and solar energy before moving to energy efficiency.
