Locavore Corps Workshop, Nov.
Do you want to take ethical eating to the next level? Join us for our monthly Locavore Corps workshop series. We'll gather for good food, good conversation, and concrete tools for creating change from farm to table.
The workshop will feature a special guest speaker, an overview of our regional food system, a discussion of regionality, seasonality, and what constitutes local, action steps for supporting local food where you eat and shop, and tasty incentives to keep you eating both wisely and well.
Locavore Corps members will be charged with a mission. You'll join a growing network of eaters and businesses working together to create a more vibrant, transparent, and local food economy in the Bay Area.
Cost: $50 membership donation to the Community Alliance with Family Farmers (CAFF). Current members and students are welcome to join us for $20. Light fare and a handy tote bag are included.
Our November guest speaker will be Cheryl Koehler, Publisher/Editor of Edible East Bay.
