The Planetary Society's 2021 Virtual Day of Action
As the saying goes, 80% of life is showing up. This is even more important in the world of politics.
If you don't speak up, you are not heard. If you don't show up, you are not seen. If you don't advocate for space, someone else will...and you may not like the outcome.
Every year The Planetary Society organizes its members to come to Washington, D.C. and meet with members of Congress and their staff, face-to-face. This year, due to the coronavirus, we will do the next best thing: virtual meetings with congressional staff and representatives.
Research has shown in-person meetings to be *the most effective* way to engage elected officials. If you believe in a future of space science and exploration, this is the way to truly show it.
If you register, here's what you get:
* Expert training from The Planetary Society's space policy team * A minimum of three meetings with congressional offices booked for you by The Planetary Society * Opportunities to engage with other Society members and get exclusive briefings on space science missions
Virtual meetings will take place via Zoom, and will occur with you and other Society members in a small group throughout the day on 31 March 2021. A training session will occur on Sunday 28 March between 11am PT and 2pm PT (2pm ET - 5pm ET).
Age requirements: Anyone under the age of 18 by March 31, 2021 must participate with a parent or legal guardian.
Citizenship requirements: Any individual with a U.S. address may participate.
