Marquette Bungalows House Tour
The Madison Trust for Historic Preservation will take you on a guided walking tour of the charming Marquette Bungalows Historic District on Madison's East Side near O'Keefe Middle School.
The Marquette Bungalows district is the the largest concentration of Craftsman style homes in the city. It consists of 48 modestly sized but high-quality homes. 47 of them are Craftsman style houses built between 1924 and 1930 in what is known as Soelch's Subdivision (find out how the 48th house fits in to the story).
Tours groups will leave from the O'Keefe Middle School parking area on (1480 Spaight St.). Docents will take small groups on a tour of this two-block district, including interiors of two of the homes.
Tour tickets include a 2-for-1 deal at Mickey's Tavern (1524 Williamson St., 2 blocks from the tour), good anytime in November or December.
