FluteFling Online December 2020
As we head into Midwinter, make some space and time for you and your music as Claire guides you through ideas to develop your technique and repertoire.
Delivered over Zoom from her house near Newton Stewart in SW Scotland, the online workshops will take place over two consecutive weekends with a morning and afternoon part each day. There is an additional opportunity to be part of a group video performance based on material featured in the workshops.
Claire will teach by ear but sheet music will be provided and a recording available in advance.
The workshops are suitable for non-beginners who play:
~ Simple system wooden flutes (keyed and unkeyed, in D)
~ Boehm system flutes
~ Whistles in D
~ Low whistles in D
Ticket prices are for all four workshop sessions:
~ Saturday 12 December
10.30-11.15: Session 1 / 13.30-14.15: Session 2
~ Saturday 19 December
10.30-11.15: Session 3 / 13.30-14.15: Session 4; Q&A
Note:
In order to accommodate attendees in different time zones and others who might not be able to make the live workshops for other reasons, the organisers will record the events on video. This will be done using an external camera at Claire's location and a Co-host will also be on hand to record a limited-view version within Zoom. The videos will focus on Claire's teaching and not the participants.
The workshop videos will be held in a secure archive until 09 January 2021 and will be accessible to all ticket holders until then. It will give all participants the option of revisiting the teaching and enhancing the learning as often as you like for that period. The videos will be removed from the archive after that date.
