Pillow Making with Recycled and Reclaimed Fabric
Earlier and earlier sunsets means more mellow nights in. This is doubly true this season, as we redouble our communal efforts to Stay Home when possible. In anticipation of the long winter ahead and in celebration of the winter tradition of nesting, Slough Farm is excited to announce a new workshop with local designer Angela Sison of CONRADO.
Join Angela on Zoom to design and sew a decorative throw pillow using assorted recycled and reclaimed fine fabrics. Students will learn how to measure materials, mark and cut fabric correctly, sew by hand, and understand the terminologies of the craft.
Prior to the online workshop, students are invited to pick up their included course materials at Slough Farm during staggered, scheduled, and socially-distanced windows TBD. Course materials can also be mailed.
This workshop is suitable for both beginners and avid sewers who would like to learn a new trick or two; the perfect opportunity to learn a new skill, or jump start a lapsed one.
