Burlesque Performance 101

Although there are no pre-requisites, it is strongly recommended that you take Burlesque FUNdamentals and/or Beg/Int Burlesque prior to performance classes.

While burlesque superstars make performing look easy, the work put into their performance is extremely time-consuming. We have a limited amount of class time and in order to meet deadlines and standards, much of your work will be done on on your own time. Students are expected to do homework each week, applying lessons and critiques, and return to the following week's workshop with new material.

Attendance at all classes is mandatory, and missing classes may result in non-performance (emergencies will be handled on a case by case basis).

Students are responsible for the cost of creating their own costume in addition to the workshop price.

Tuition includes an hour-long private lesson with Fanny Galore

*Students must meet specific standards for costume, choreography, and presentation in order to perform. These expectations will be outlined for students at the first class and referred to throughout the process. Students who do not meet the standards set forth by week 5 will not perform in the final recital, but will be given the opportunity to retake the class at the discounted rate of 50% off. By making a payment towards your registration, you are agreeing to these terms.

Cancellation Policies:
If your class is cancelled by the instructor, your payment will be refunded in full as soon as possible. If you've pre-paid a class or deposit and need to cancel 10 days or more before the class, you will be refunded 50% of your deposit. No refunds will be made in the 9 days before a class. There are no refunds or makeup classes for absences.
