Improv Playhouse of San Francisco: Two Santa Cruz Performances, Nov. 15 and 16, 2013
The Improv Playhouse of San Francisco, the Bay Area's hottest new improv ensemble, will perform two completely different shows in Santa Cruz on Nov. 15 and 16, 2013.
Improv Playhouse of San Francisco is: Rafe Chase, Ben Johnson, Tim Orr, Lisa Rowland and Regina Saisi.
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15th THE NAKED STAGE (SOLD OUT -- LIMITED SEATING WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR) The action takes place on a single set, lin traditional stage-play style. The improvisers play one character each, and there are no built-in transitions or scene breaks. All the actors have is the bare stage, simple suggestions from the audience, and each other.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH IMPROVISED SHAKESPEARE Shakespeare's plays take place in a tumultuous world full of unrequited love, treachery, passion, war, mistaken identities, political intrigue and, sometimes, magic. In our shows, we inhabit that world and play characters who go through similar adventures. We don't know in advance if the show will be a romantic comedy or a tragedy, or some of both. But we do know that it will be completely improvised.
