Hometown Hootenanny: Songs of the American Cowboy
"Go west, young man" at least as far west as the corner of Colby and Hewitt in downtown Everett, as the Hometown Hootenanny fills the Historic Everett Theatre with "Songs of the American Cowboy" on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 7:30 p.m.
The Historic Everett Theatre is located at 2911 Colby Ave. in downtown Everett.
Cowboys have always been the stuff of legend in America, and the music that tells their stories and celebrates the cowboy lifestyle is timeless.
The Hometown Band anchors the monthly concert series, performing songs that include "Ghost Riders in the Sky," "Cowboy Logic" and "Cool Water." Special guests for the October 12 show are J.W. McClure, a unique solo artist whose music pays tribute to Jimmie Rodgers and early musical pioneers; the duo of Mike Faast and Roger Ferguson from The Jangles, a western swing band; and returning favorites The Rainieros.
Tickets for the Oct. 12 show are $16.50 for adults, $13 for seniors/students/military, and only $5 for kids 12 and under. Purchase tickets online at brownpapertickets.com or by calling the Everett Theatre at (425) 258-6766. The box office opens at 6:30 the day of the show.
Free parking is available at the EverPark Garage, corner of Hoyt and Hewitt, just one block from the Historic Everett Theatre.
The Hometown Hootenanny is a family-friendly event, presenting live music and a variety of entertainers in a classic venue in downtown Everett.
