Hope Theater Company presents Love Letters from the Middle East, a play that tells the stories of three women whose lives are transformed as an outcome of war, and the opportunities for peace and understanding that can grow out of the ashes of tragedy.

Jamileh is falling through the cracks of the English immigration system after a long journey from Iraq. Goli is trying to get foreign medical assistance for two disfigured girls. Angela is braving a dangerous road to find her husband, a U.S. soldier missing in Afghanistan. The play reflects on their traumas, challenges and hopes for a better future. Dreamland Arts is a 40-seat theater in the Hamline-Midway neighborhood of St. Paul. Established in 2006, Dreamland Arts has hosted more than 150 plays, music concerts, puppets shows and literary events, produced primarily by individual artists and small independent groups.
