NoNet: An intimate expose of circus life
An international cast of actors, dancers, and circus performers boasting a resume of professional work on stage, film, and television, will be presenting their art framed in the dramas of their personal history. Players, risk takers and makers of fantasy, they will be showcasing their strengths--and sometimes reluctantly-- their vulnerabilities. These veterans of Cirque du Soleil and other internationally acclaimed companies will bring the full force of their talent and experience to bear upon this intimate expose of the circus life.
In the dictionary, nonet is a term for a group of nine people or things creating symmetry and dimension. In this campaign, NoNet refers to nine circus artists coming together to reveal "the backside of the tent", a place where only the performers are allowed and the audience typically has no clue of its existence... but also where there is no-net (no safety for the ego) in the ordinary course of life unmasked.
This is the setting for revealing the artists in preparation, yet also going further into their psyche and pedestrian life. The uncertainty, discovery, accidents, personal failures and achievements, not to mention the relationship foibles involved in a collective presentation, are the theater behind the theater. This is all disclosed in and between the artists' numbers. NoNet exposes what everyone wants to know about extraordinary performers in their quest for greatness.
