Program: The A & E industry has been given a rare opportunity by the public's awareness and acceptance that our built environment must be more sustainable to refocus our practices in leading a sustainable renaissance where the creative processdriven and lead by sustainabilityyield projects that do more with less: more design, less energy, less water, and less resources. A number of case studies will be used as examples that demonstrate the synergy between sustainability and design excellence. These examples projects (built and on the boards) vary in size and program and have all won AIA awards from National and Component Chapters illustrating how a design process led by and focused on sustainability profoundly influences the work, the process and create long term value for the clients.
