XIX CONGRESO ANUAL ~ ESPAÑA EN CUBA: UN IR Y VENIR
A two-day multi-disciplinary event celebrating the deep cultural ties between Cuba and Spain, from the arrival of Columbus on the Island in 1492 until the present, with special emphasis on the main migration waves from different parts of Spain--Asturias, Galicia, the Canary Islands, Catalonia, the Basque Country, and Andalusia--that notably influenced the ethnic composition and character of the Cuban people throughout history, highlighting the most salient aspects of its cultural legacy, including its architecture, literature, gastronomy, and music.
The special admission code will also give the viewer exclusive access to three complementary entertainment events in December: the concert EL PUNTO CUBANO Y EL SON (12/1); the world premiere of the play LA INDIANA, streamed live from Madrid (12/13); and LA MAGIA DE LA ZARZUELA (12/18), featuring legendary arias from Cuban and Spanish zarzuelas.
