Twilight Drive-In at the Olympic Park: Ski Movies - Salute, Skivas and Lonely Star
ONLINE TICKET SALES HAVE ENDED - TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE ON SITE AT UTAH OLYMPIC PARK STARTING AT 6pm
Park City Film is partnering with Utah Olympic Park and Dragonfli Media to present the Twilight Drive-In at the Utah Olympic Park, a drive-in movie series to bring the community together for fun, socially-distant evenings celebrating film. Join us for a fun night out watching films under the stars!
About the films:
SALUTE - world premiere! (32min) Once in a blue moon there comes an athlete that changes the sport forever, a legend. Tom Brady is doing it for football, John Florence for surfing and Henrik Harlaut for freeskiing. SALUTE is a 2 year ski movie project by Henrik Harlaut showcasing the dedication, history and unique lifestyle that led to his dominance over nearly every discipline of the sport of freeskiing (from Competitions, the streets and the backcountry) alongside some of the World best skiers. Henriks approach and outlook on his true love is one you seldom come by. To truly transcend a field is to give yourself to it. The discipline and drive required are often lost on the onlooker, they see the final product but rarely think about what it took to get there. With this movie, Henrik also wanted to give back to the oldies when style maters, when it was all about filming and wait to show it the next fall. This is a SALUTE to Freeskiing.
Skivas (17min) A 100% female ski movie by French freeski pro Coline Ballet-Baz. Ten of the best female skiers and snowboarders meet during 2020 winter season to stack shots in urban, freeride and backcountry, and to show how Freeskiing is more than a sport, but a lifestyle and an art.
The Lonely Star (5min) A cosmic explorer is marooned on an arid planet. As he trudges across vast dunes, the wind blows whispers of sand and he is transported to winters past. Snowy hallucinations take hold a world far away, cloaked in white, where skiers carve graceful signatures down mountains.
