About Something strange looms in the virtual world. In this multi-episode live event series presented by North Bend Film Fest and Northwest Film Forum, emerging storytellers recount peculiar tales and bizarre happenings based on their own real life experiences. Each episode features a strange new theme challenging storytellers to win over the audience with their storytelling skills. This special NIGHTSTREAM Edition is comprised of Audience Choice winners from prior episodes!
This virtual event series is hosted by Seattle-based storyteller, comedian and weirdo Emmett Montgomery NBCs Last Comic Standing, Seattle Weeklys Best Comedian 2015, 2017, 2018 and host and curator of the community based comedy show Joketellers Union (with Brett Hamil) and the experimental basement/storytelling show The Magic Hat.
NIGHTSTREAM Edition theme: UNEARTHLY. Whether its contact with otherworldly beings or a brief moment of untethered existence, history abounds with tales of mysterious happenings that have pushed humans to question everything. These stories will center around the nearly supernatural moments in which we are able to peek behind the curtain of our perceived reality.
About NIGHTSTREAM Together the Boston Underground Film Festival (MA), Brooklyn Horror Film Festival (NY), North Bend Film Festival (WA), the Overlook Film Festival (LA), and Popcorn Frights Film Festival (FL) are joining forces under the banner of NIGHTSTREAM to present a dynamic and accessible virtual festival, to run from Oct. 8-11. The festival will be a mix of premiering feature films, short films, live and pre-recorded events, which will be available for audience members to enjoy from their living rooms. The program will also highlight vanguard filmmakers in the genre/horror cinema space.
