This summer, New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center will offer a series of small group walking tours of downtown New Bedford and the working waterfront. These tours will provide guests an opportunity to learn about New Bedfords history and fishing industry while being outside and socially distanced.
Tours will explore topics including the history of the fishing industry, life in a fishing family, and the ins and outs of a contemporary waterfront. Group size will be limited to 10 guests and a tour guide. Masks and social distancing are required.
Tours are $5/person, children under 10 are free, members of the Fishing Heritage Center are free.
Tour begins in the parking lot at the New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center and ends at Pier 3. Plan to meet in the parking lot at least 5 minutes before the start of the tour. Following the tour, guests may return to the Center to tour our exhibits. Tour lasts approximately one hour. If the tour is cancelled due to weather, you will know the day of, but with notice.
