Artist Trust 2009 Benefit Art Auction ~ Art Carnaval
Join Artist Trust for a celebration offering tantalizing artwork & art experiences, generously donated by stellar artists & art supporters. Inspired by the pageantry, of Brazil's Carnaval, the art-filled evening will include: -Samba music by Kiko Freitas Band -Tudo Beleza dance group -Solo guitar by Andre Feriante -Festive feast and luscious libations
Highlights of art items for purchase at Auction: -Art and Jewelry by prestigious artists including: Jeffrey Bishop, Catherine Eaton Skinner, Julie Speidel, Allison Manch and more! -Art Experiences will provide behind-the-scenes looks at performances and creation of art around the state including: a tour of Walla Walla Foundry and overnight stay; a dinner party for twelve with Ginny Ruffner at her studio/home.

The auction is our signature fundraising event of the year, accounting for over 20% of Artist Trusts budget revenues. The funds raised go back into our mission-driven programs to help individual artists flourish in our community. For example, this year Artist Trust increased Fellowship awards from $6,500 to $7,500! Artist Trust will distribute these larger Fellowship awards to each of this years 21 distinguished artists, who were selected by peer review panelists from a pool of 450 applicants.

About Artist Trust Artist Trust is a not-for-profit organization whose sole mission is to support individual artists working in all disciplines in order to enrich community life throughout Washington State. To accomplish its mission, Artist Trust raises funds in order to offer artists individual grants, up-to-date career resources, and business-practice training. Since its founding in 1987, Artist Trust has given more than $3.2 million in direct support to over 1,675 of Washingtons most promising and respected musician, writers, visual and craft artists, playwrights, choreographer, composers, performers and filmmakers.
