Afternoon Tea with SMOC
Staying physically distant doesn't mean we have to lose our social connection!
On October 17th, St. Mary's Outreach Center is putting a virtual spin on our annual storytelling event at our Afternoon Tea. This year has been challenging for all of us, especially older adults who share that they are struggling to stay active and socially connected. During this event, we will highlight the beauty of inter-generational relationships that many of us are missing in 2020, particularly those shared between grandparent and grandchild.
Additionally, we'll share how St. Mary's Outreach Center has been a safe and steady resource for our community to get the services and supplies our older neighbors need, and how you can join us in this work.
The afternoon will feature videos, "door" prizes, raffles, and more! Pick out your favorite tea and tea cup (or any beverage of your choice), try out a new recipe (check out our website for fun and easy recipes), and join others in support of Baltimore's older adults. We look forward to seeing you on Zoom!
Raffle prizes include gift certificates to Arthouse, Blue Pit Barbecue, Chuck's Trading Post, Dylan's Oyster Cellar, Gertrude's, Gundalow Gourmet and Pepe's.
*you don't need to be present at the event to win our great raffle prizes!
