Please join us for the Pacific NW Waste Summit and Hackathon Finals
To sweep the zero-waste movement forward, we want to empower future entrepreneurs to build our better tomorrow.
On Monday, November 30, 2020, from 9 am - 3 pm, we will showcase presentations from zero waste innovators around the Pacific NW. Our region is full of entrepreneurs, researchers, and agencies who are helping lead the nation with their ideas to help realize a zero-waste paradigm shift. You will hear from Beta Hatch which is farming insect-to create high-value proteins, oils, and nutrients for agriculture, Net Your Problem which is recycling fishing nets, Organix which is using state-of-the-art vermiculture for dairy waste, cool things that are happening at our state corrections facilities and more.
In addition, this day will include the final presentations, final judging and awards, culminating a 5-week long Zero Waste Innovation Hackathon, which includes student teams developing zero waste business plans. The top 6 final teams will present short videos on November 30.
Due to COVID-19, this will be a virtual event. Closer to the date, we will send you the link to join the event.
