I grew up in Teaneck, NJ among some of the greatest talents in musical jazz history -Nat Adderly, Thad Jones, Sir Roland Hanna, Isley Bros, McCoy Tyner, Rufus Reed - just to name a few. This is where it began. 40 years later now in Lake Worth, FL, I am still surrounded by amazing jazz talents who perform a monthly live pop-up event called Jazz on J Street. This film pays homage to my hometown Teaneck and my jazz neighbors - past & present. Jazz on J street features some of the best national & international Jazz musicians living here in south fl. who are multi-talented in Art as well. Jazz on J street host Blanche Williams explores Art, Music, & Improvisation. Featured artist Blanche Williams, Joyce Greenberg Brown, Carl Stoveland, Yvette Norwood-Tiger, Robin D Williams, Adriano Ficarelli, Mark Doyle and Filmmaker musician James Venable.
