An Evening for Patrick McMillan and the SCBG
This summer, torrential rains in Clemson threatened to destroy the South Carolina Botanical Garden. Downpours caused a pond to flood over the dam battering trails and plantings below. The water compromised the foundation of buildings on site. Staff and volunteers have made great strides in repairing the damage, but there is still much work to be done, and a significant expense to do so.
Patrick McMillan, Director of the SCBG, faculty at the Clemson School of Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Science host of the Emmy-award winning ETV nature Program "Expeditions with Patrick McMillan", will be here to update us on the state of the garden and plans for its repair. Your support will help the South Carolina Botanical Garden recover, emerge better than ever, and continue to grow to greater heights.
