SONGS at 75

Oct 9 (8:00), Oct 10 (5:00 and 8:00), Oct 11 (3:00), 2020
William Way LGBT Center, 1315 Spruce St., Philadelphia

SONGS at 75 celebrates Tom Wilson Weinbergs milestone birthday with songs written from 1959 to 2020. Tom has selected songs from his cabarets, revues and musicals. The 250 songs in Weinbergs trunk are his babies and his autobiography. For SONGS at 75, his favorite babies get 75 minutes in the spotlight.

Performances are in the Mark Segal Ballroom, which normally accommodates 150.
WE WILL SEAT 25 PEOPLE AT EACH OF THE 4 SHOWS.

Chairs, door handles, etc. will be sanitized before each show. Masks are a must. Seating will be socially distant but well all be together.

All ticket income supports the Arcila-Adams Trans Resource Center at William Way.

Snippet reviews:

Weinberg's music is catchy and expressive. He is a lyricist of extraordinary talent.
    - Douglas Keating, Philadelphia Inquirer

The romantic songs are every bit as uplifting as the satirical songs are bitingly funny.
    - Gary L. Day, Philadelphia Gay News

Refreshingly clear-headed and wide ranging, Weinberg knows how to laugh at human follies, how to think and how to reach the heart.   - Arthur Friedman, Boston Herald

A highly talented songwriter, hashing out issues via wonderful lyrics and melodies.
    - Tommi Avicolli Mecca, First Hand

A spirit of cheerfully assertive militancy tempered with humor and musical savvy.
    - Stephen Holden, New York Times

The warm heart of an old-time hoofer and the big city brains of a Talking Head, anyone, gay or straight, will feel terrific all the way home.
    - Dan Geringer, Philadelphia Daily News
