Tickets will include AUA totes, each providing all materials necessary to participate in the following workshops: Grow : An introduction to mushroom harvesting with Full Circle Fungi Harvest : Karla Morales, Chicago Chef & owner of Amor Y Sofrito, teaches us how to cook Vegan Sancocho, a Chicago garden root veggie stew inspired by traditional Puerto Rican stew. Celebrate : Dia de los Muertas pumpkin painting with Pilsen Arts & Community House Connect : A round table discussion featuring members Chicago urban agriculture, including Mekazin Alexander of EGMK, Selma Sims of Gardeneers, Dr. Saria Lofton of UIC, Apologue Liquors, Rumi Spice, and more!
Totes will include: Mushroom growing kit // Produce & spices from Chicago farms // Pumpkins and painting supplies // Your choice of pre-made cocktails from Apologue Liquors // Saffron tea from Rumi Spice // & an AUA thank you surprise.
