A Night at the Besties - 11th annual CityBeat BEST of San Diego Celebration

San Diego CityBeat presents A Night at the Besties - our 11th annual BEST of San Diego Celebration. At this event, we celebrate San Diego, local events, places and businesses.

This event will feature live music from three 2013 San Diego Music Awards nominees: Roy Rapid & the Rhytmn Rock Trio, Gilbert Castellanos and his Hammond B3 Trio plus The Burning of Rome.

The art show will feature over 20 San Diego artists including Jimmy Ovadia, Matthew Land, Alli Bautista, John Purlia, Bat Brain, Dan Allen, Andrea Aliseda, Brian Hebets, Jack Stricker, Carrie Anne Hudson and MORE!

Beer and Booze sampling from 6-8pm features craft beers from Green Flash, Ballast Point, Manzanita and Stone. We'll also feature cocktails with 619 Vodka, Donkey Piss Tequilla and a host of others. Featured bartenders come from Sycamore Den and from The Office. In addition to samples, full pour cash bars will also be available at the event.

Finally, over 15 of San Diego's BEST restaurants will be sampling some of the best food in San Diego. Restaurants include Great Maple, Wang's, Rancho's, Ponce's, Urban Solace, Evolution, Stone Catering, SN Diego Taco, and many more. Foodies beware, this is going be include some great food sampling!

Best of all, A Night at the Besties will benefit ArtReach, an organization that takes professional artists into elementary schools throughout San Diego County to provide standards-based, visual art workshops. ArtReach provides both fee for service programs and, when able, grant-funded free programs for schools that have few or no art resources and no ability to pay.
