Music At The Depot featuring Gigi Dover & The Big Love
The Gaston County Museum of Art & History presents Music at the Depot featuring Gigi Dover & The Big Love on Friday, March 14 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at its renovated train Depot located at 205 West Main Street in Dallas, NC.
Americana favorite, Gigi Dover, is a native of Charlotte, claiming to be "born, bred and buttered in the South." Her earlier recordings with The Rank Outsiders, and solo have garnered much praise.
Since 2004, Gigi has been touring the region with her husband/songwriter Eric Lovell on lead guitar and David Clark on bass.
Incorporating the sounds and vibes of world instruments: Sitar, Ukelele, Djimbe & Glockenspiel - their sound is a fresh,
palatable blend of gypsy, jazzy, funky, southern-soul & world music.
Their live shows move effortlessly from high-energy to low-swampy grooves and back again, creating a rich sonic experience being coined as "Gypsy Soul meets Russian Carnival".
