Mark Foehringer Dance Project|SF presents its fifth annual holiday production of Mark Foehringer's Nutcracker Sweets, a unique 50 minute version of the classic ballet Nutcracker specifically designed for families with young children. Featuring live music -- a chamber orchestra with 9 musicians -- and the return of former ODC dancer, Brian Fisher as Drosselmeyer, musical direction by Michael Morgan, set design by Peter Crompton, costume design by Richard Battle, lighting design by Patrick Hajduk and production direction by Frédéric O. Boulay. Nutcracker Sweets is an affordable, fun and zany rendition of this popular holiday tradition.

This year's production features talented dancers from MFDP|SF including: Brian Fisher as Drosselmeyer Marina Fukushima as Clara Juan Delarosa as Mouse King, Russian Trepak LizAnne Roman as Mother, Mouse Queen, Sugar Plum Fairy Jette Martin as Mother Ginger Sonja Dale as Doll, Spanish Thomas Woodman as Doll and Asian Tea Jesse Chin and Chad Dawson will be sharing the role of Nutcracker and Nephew
Mark Foehringer Dance Project|SF is a professional contemporary dance organization based in San Francisco, California. Artistic director and choreographer Mark Foehringer has been developing shows for more than 20 years from the Joyce Theater in New York to Aruba and Peru and numerous venues in San Francisco.
