San Diego Classical Mandolin Camp 2014
Welcome to the registration page of the San Diego Classical Mandolin Camp, directed by classical mandolinist, and educator, Chris Acquavella. The SDCMC will explore the depth and breadth of the classical mandolin, from baroque to modern times, through 5 days of intensive classes, rehearsals, and concerts. This years invited guest instructor will be the very talented Fabio Gallucci (Italy/France). We are also very lucky to have Professor Stefanie Rauch from Germany joining us again this year. Also joining us is Tim Connell for the first half of the camp working on basics. Our camp will take place from July 14-20 at the beautiful Crowne Plaza San Diego.
Chris, Stefanie, Fabio, and Tim are all fantastic teachers and performers. They will lead you through a well thought out curriculum of the classical mandolin's technique and repertoire. Each night there will be a different concert, culminating in an en masse orchestra performance by the students on the final night.
The week will start on Monday evening, 7/14 at 6:00PM, for a meet and greet. Classes start Tuesday, 7/15 at 9:00 AM, and run through Saturday, with evening concerts starting at 8:00 PM. It will be a very full and rewarding week!!!
