Not So Silent Cinema presents THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI

This Halloween, Not So Silent Cinema debuts a brand new score to the classic German-Expressionist horror film, THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI. With its jagged, angular sets painted in dream-like abstractions and the stylized, jerky movements of its actors, the film became a hallmark of the German Expressionist style.
NYC/Philly-based composer and arranger Brendan Cooney's (Dr. Dog, Rick Berlin) original score for the film is performed live by some of the finest musicians from today's Klezmer, Balkan, jazz, tango, and classical scenes, in an award-winning program that has sold out theaters throughout the East Coast ("driving a silent film renaissance" Boston Herald).
