Please join us the 4th annual Fall Splendor Fashion Show, a fundraiser for the Southern Humboldt Community Park.
This year we visit Venice for a grand and magical Masquerade Ball.
Decadent attire is recommended Masks are a must!
Come at 6:30 to enjoy Procecco, cocktails, local fine wines, antipasto and an organic and delicious Venetian Copper River Salmon Dinner prepared by Chef, Brett Shuler. For your dining entertainment, Reality Thief, Brad Barton of San Francisco will amaze all with his magic, mystery and mentalism, while the Bada Bling! Burlesque will captivate during desert. Be delighted by the beautiful creations of local and fair trade designers. Watch Humboldt's finest models as they strut the catwalk backed by DJ Marjo Lak, and with visuals presented by Johnathan Singer.
A live and silent auction, as well as vendor booths gives you a further opportunity to show your support for the park as well as these talented designers.
Be ready to hit the dance floor in all elegance for Plantrae and MiHKAL. Plantrae originated deep in the rainforests of Oregon. Composed of a bass rooted, stretchy midtempo foundation and live viola improvisation, Plantrae embodies the spirited essence of classical, swing and folk united with organic melody and intricate electronics.
Perfecting the art of audio alchemy, Oakland based DJ/Producer Michael Anderson Lapp aka MiHKAL is quite possibly one of the west coast's best kept secrets. Notorious for his emotionally charged, melodically driven, bass heavy mixes, remixes & funky fresh danceable beats.
Fall Splendor is the Parks major annual Fund-Raiser, so don't forget your Dough! Your contributions go directly back to your community!
Tickets for dinner, dining entertainment and fashion show will be on sale in advance ONLY for $85, at Peoples Records in Arcata, Blue Moon Gifts in Garberville, Redway Liquor in Redway, and online at brownparertickets.com. Please get your ticket early, this dinner always sells out. Tables of eight may be reserved ahead.
Show tickets will be sold online and at the door for 8:30 entry for $20. Fashion Show will start promptly at 9:00pm.
