Amy Tan discusses her new novel "The Valley of Amazement" in conversation with St. Louis Public Radio's Don Marsh.

The first novel in ten years from the beloved author of "The Joy Luck Club," Amy Tan's "The Valley of Amazement" is a sweeping epic of two women's intertwined fates, from the lavish parlors of Shanghai courtesans to the fog-shrouded mountains of a remote Chinese village.

Tickets will go on sale October 1, 9 am.

Tickets will be sold in two packages:
Individual tickets - $30 (admits ONE and includes ONE copy of the book)
OR
Package ticket - $40 (admits TWO and includes ONE copy of the book)

Amy Tan will sign books following the presentation. Due to time constraints, posed photos with the author will not be possible. Additional books will be available for purchase at the event from Left Bank Books.

The proceeds from this event will benefit the St. Louis County Library Foundation's literacy programs.
