Votes for Women - Van Vorst
It's 1913, and, thousands of women gather in our nation's capital to rally for women's right to vote. While the fight for suffrage has been going on for 60 years, Alice Paul and the National American Woman Suffrage Association, organize the first major national event for the movement.
This 45 minute family-friendly historical play is made possible, in part, by a grant from Jersey City EDC. All park performances are and will be organized with social distancing for everyone's safety.
Audience needs to provide their own chair or blanket. Masks are required for all audience members.
Speranza VOTES FOR WOMEN branded masks are available for a donation during your reservation checkout. These masks can either be shipped to you or picked up at the box office when you arrive. Designed with Speranza's VOTES FOR WOMEN logo, you can wear your new mask to the shows and even the polls in November!
At Van Vorst, we will be performing on the gazebo in the center of the park.
