Toby Tenenbaum Concert
Born in 1956, Boulder native Toby Tenenbaum grew up with his four sisters on Mapleton Hill. He spent formative years in Italy before attending the Oberlin and San Francisco Conservatories, where he received his MM in piano performance. He has written music for dance and ballet, works for cello and piano, in addition to recording two previous albums of original piano music. He led a community choir for nine years, and his numerous choral compositions have been performed extensively by various ensembles. An avid reader and nature enthusiast, he maintains a private piano studio in his home in historic downtown Boulder which he shares with his piano, a 100-year-old silver maple, and his cat Koschka.
