On The Gatekeepers
Dror Moreh began his career as a director of photography, becoming one of Israel's leading cinematographers. He has made a number of award-winning feature films, including Sharon (2008), the inspiration for his second documentary, The Gatekeepers. In Sharon (screened at 2010 Jewish Book & Arts Fair), Moreh lovingly and respectfully explores how and why this right-wing politician shifted his thinking in his later years. Moreh's goal for The Gatekeepers is to have a similar effect on others. He is committed to critical and compelling storytelling. "As a filmmaker in Israel I want to create films that will change reality."
