Artemis String Quartet
The Berlin-based Artemis Quartet was founded in 1989 at the Musikhochschule Lübeck, and is recognised today as one of the foremost quartets in the world. Their mentors include Walter Levin, Alfred Brendel, the Alban Berg Quartet, the Juilliard Quartet and the Emerson Quartet. This will be their third Ensemble Music concert appearance and perform Johannes Brahms, String Quartet in B-flat Major, Op. 67 György Kurtág, Quartet, Op. 28 (Officium breve, In Memoriam Andreae Szervánsky) Johannes Brahms, String Quartet in C Minor, Op. 51, No. 1
