COVID-19 What to Expect: There will be no restrooms available for use during outdoor programs. Attendees are required to wear masks at all times (except when eating), and to place themselves at the orange markers which will be installed every 10 feet on the grounds in order to enforce social distancing guidelines.
All outdoor films are FREE and begin at sunset. Bring chairs, blankets, and picnics!

About the Ruaha Carnivore Project
Amy Dickman founded the Ruaha Carnivore Project in Tanzania in 2009. The foundations aim is to establish an internationally significant conservation organization that protects the wildlife or the Ruaha National Park with a particular focus on mitigating predator human wildlife conflict. The Ruaha Carnivore Project works alongside researchers to provide solid scientific research that is in turn used by the government to make informed decisions towards well-managed wilderness areas and, of course, to protect wildlife. One of the foundations greatest achievements is educating communities close to Ruaha National Park in order to create sustainable scenarios in which villagers are connected to conservation and benefit directly from it.
About Derek & Beverly Joubert
Derek and Beverly are award-winning filmmakers, National Geographic Explorers-in-Residence and wildlife conservationists, who have been filming, researching and exploring in Africa for over 30 years. Their mission is the conservation and understanding of the large predators and other key wildlife species that determine the course of all conservation in Africa. They are the founders of the Big Cats Initiative with National Geographic, which currently funds 80 grants in 27 countries for the conservation of big cats.
The Jouberts have made over 25 films for National Geographic, published 11 books, half a dozen scientific papers, and have written many articles for the National Geographic Magazine. Beverly Joubert is also an acclaimed photographer and her international exhibitions have further helped to raise awareness for the plight of big cats across the world.
Their films have received international recognition with major accolades including 8 Emmys, a Peabody, Wildscreen Panda Awards and a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Japan Wildlife Film Festival, to name but a few. The Jouberts were also awarded the World Ecology Award alongside Prince Charles and Richard Leakey, and in 2009, they were inducted into the American Academy of Achievement with the likes of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. In the 2013 Jackson Hole Film Festival Dereck and Beverly won the Outstanding Achievement Award. In 2011, Dereck and Beverly were honored with the Presidential Order of Meritorious Service by the President of Botswana, for their work within the country. In 2014 Dereck and Beverly won the prestigious lifetime achievement award from the SAFTA's.
In recent years, the Jouberts have expanded their conservation outreach through another business venture, Great Plains Conservation. All of Dereck & Beverlys work coincides with one aim: to save the wild places of Africa, and to protect the creatures that depend on them. About Sheldrick Wildlife Trust
Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is the most successful elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world. The organization has achieved world-wide acclaim through its hugely successful elephant and rhino rescue and rehabilitation program. 262 elephant and 17 rhino orphans have been successfully raised, and 36 babies have been born to wild-living orphan elephants.
The Nairobi orphanage is located within the Nairobi National Park which is situated right outside the city's business. Sheldrick Wildlife Trust also runs two extremely successful re-introduction camps, Ithumba Hill and Umani Spring located in East Tsavo. Orphans are brought to these two camps from the Nairobi orphanage to be carefully released into the wild.
About African Parks
African Parks manages national parks and protected areas throughout Africa, in collaboration with governments and surrounding communities. The NGO takes on the complete responsibility for the rehabilitation and long-term management of national parks in partnership with governments and local communities. They currently manage 18 national parks and protected areas in 11 countries covering over 14.1 million hectares in: Angola, Benin, Central African Republic, Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, the Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
African Parks utilizes a clear business approach to conserving Africas wildlife and remaining wild areas, securing vast landscapes and carrying out the necessary activities needed to protect the parks and their wildlife. They maintain a strong focus on economic development and poverty alleviation of surrounding communities to ensure that each park is ecologically, socially, and financially sustainable in the long-term.
