#2 ITALIAN SWEET AND SPARKLING WINES, February 27, 2009, 7-9PM Lost in the hoopla over Super Tuscans, Brunellos, and long-aged Barolos is the fact that Italy produces outstanding sparkling and sweet wines from many grapes, in many styles, from many regions. This session will sample some of these surprising wines with accompanying artisanal cheeses from Valley Shepherd Creamery. #3 ITALIAN SUPER WHITES, March 20, 2009, 7-9PM White wines in the dead of winter? Why not, when they're Super Whites -- white wines from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the premier region for white wines in Italy!
