"Starry, Starry Night"
The Roseville Animation Festival is proud to partner with Blue Line Arts this year to create a more expansive arts experience in Downtown Roseville on Vernon Street! "Starry Starry Night" is Blue Line Arts' summer concert with live music by The Republicrats, food, wine, beer, and featured artist David Garibaldi, who earned national acclaim as a finalist on America's Got Talent for his incredible talent as a performance-art painter! In addition, there will be art exhibits by local artists and a 50/50 raffle, all proceeds to benefit Blue Line Arts, partnering with the Animation Festival.
Cost: $65, $95 per couple. Includes weekend pass to Animation Festival.
Friday Night. 10pm: Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted Animation Festival (Rated R, no one under 17 admitted without an adult). Back by popular demand, this selection of films is intended for mature audiences only. Spike and Mike made history as the first animation festival to draw audiences across the country with decidedly, er, alternative humor.
Spike and Mike cost: $10.00
Saturday, September 28
Saturday's program will begin in conjunction with Blue Line Arts' Family Fun Festival in Roseville's brand new Town Square, featuring performances and activities for all ages from 10am to 2pm. At 2:30pm, events will move to the Tower Theatre, a half block away!
2:30 PM: Family Animation. A selection of classic to contemporary animation fun for the whole family.
4:00 PM: International Film Competition, awarded in Best International Animation and Best California Animation.
6:00 PM: Art Institute of Sacramento's "48 Hour Animation Challenge."
8:00 PM: World's Funniest Animation. Animation celebrated as gut-bustingly funny from around the globe.
Cost: $7.00 per event, $25 for all events.
