2013 Bloomingdale House Tour presented by the Bloomingdale Civic Association
The Bloomingdale Civic Association presents it's 2013 House Tour, "Historic Bloomingdale: Diverse Divine Design" is much more than a single afternoon devoted to home decor. The tour runs from 1:00pm - 5:00pm and the following elements make it unique:
- Historical research and education.
- Art show/Reception 3:00pm-8:00pm. An exhibition of multimedia works by Bloomingdale artists(including neighborhood youth artists) will open on the day of the tour at 410 Good Buddy, a gallery at Fourth Street and Florida Avenue, NW.
- Youth outreach. The tour will be a service site for twenty students from DC's Hospitality High School.
House Tour proceeds are primarily earmarked for college scholarships for Bloomingdale youth, as well as community beautification and other community enhancement efforts.
